Bill Aulet is Managing Director, Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship and Senior Lecturer, MIT Sloan School of Management.

With over 25 years of business success, Bill started out first at IBM as a successful serial entrepreneur. He has directly raised over one hundred million dollars and, more importantly, created hundreds of millions of dollars in shareholder value in his companies.

 

Over the past four years he has been a point person for entrepreneurship activities across MIT. He teaches multiple foundational classes on the subject as well as running the Trust Center. To complement this and support MIT students, he has co-founded and oversees many complementary extra-curricular activities including the MIT Global Founders Skills Accelerator, Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program, the Beehive Cooperative and the MIT Clean Energy Prize. His work has been recognized with numerous awards including, the Monosson Award and Boston “50 on Fire” (2013). His first book, “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” was released in August 2013 and has quickly become the foundation for many entrepreneurship classes globally and will be released on MITx/edX in March 2014. He has degrees from Harvard (engineering) and MIT (management).
