Susie Kim Riley is a proven technology executive with a track record for anticipating technology and market trends, and delivering solutions to propel industries forward. She has successfully built and sold 2 startups and is now on her 3rd. Riley is the Founder/CEO of technology startup Aquto based in Boston, Massachusetts. Her latest startup brings together the worlds of the mobile operator, advertising, commerce and the app ecosystem in a novel way by using a value exchange model to increase the effectiveness of mobile campaigns for marketers and bring in new sources of revenues for mobile operators. Aquto has launched its service with Vodafone in Europe and Verizon Wireless in the US and is forging new partnerships with operators to accelerate the proliferation of the unique technology and business model that enables the operator to leverage the mobile advertising/commerce/app ecosystem to provide more valuable mobile internet service to customers.

Prior to Aquto, she was an Entrepreneur in Residence with two venture firms – Northbridge Venture Partners and Matrix Partners where she evaluated new technology startups.

Previously Riley was the Chief Marketing Officer of Tekelec (now part of Oracle), She was responsible for setting the marketing and technology direction for the company. She drove the evolution of the company’s strategy from its legacy SS7 based heritage to the new mobile internet core based on recently acquired technologies. Riley came to Tekelec through the acquisition of Camiant.

As the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Camiant, she established the company's leadership in policy control with deployments in the core of the mobile Internet and broadband networks of over 45 operators worldwide. Camiant’s policy technology is responsible for controlling subscribers’ mobile internet data sessions for major mobile operators worldwide including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Vodafone, Telefonica, SK Telecom, America Movil, and Telecom Italia Brazil.

Riley has held leadership roles at other successful startup companies as well ­including Broadband Access Systems (next generation cable modem termination systems), Maker Communications (pioneer in Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network processors) and Proteon (innovator of core internet routing technologies including OSPF, BGP and SNMP). She is frequently an invited speaker at industry events and has published many papers on data service evolution and tiering, bandwidth management, multimedia services and regulations. She holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and has authored 16 issued patents.
